Incline Platform Lifts

WhatIstheElevateGlide?

The Elevate Glide is an incline platform lift — sometimes called an incline platform stairlift — that travels along a rail fixed directly to an existing staircase using a rack and pinion drive system. Unlike a conventional stairlift, which seats the user on a small fold-down chair, the Glide carries the user on a platform together with their wheelchair or mobility aid. No transfer out of the wheelchair is required.

The Glide is suitable for both straight and curved staircases — the rail is custom-fabricated to follow the exact profile of the staircase it is fitted to, with a minimum rail length of 500mm and a maximum of 35 metres, covering everything from a short domestic staircase to a long commercial flight.

WhatIstheEchoGo?

The Echo Go is a portable step lift built around a scissor mechanism, designed specifically for flexible, temporary wheelchair access. Unlike a permanently fitted step lift, the Echo Go is not fixed in place — it arrives pre-built, can be wheeled into position on its large castors, and simply plugs into an existing wall socket to charge.

This makes it a practical option wherever access is needed for a limited period, or where a fixed installation isn't possible or desirable — such as a temporary ramp-up at an event, short-term home access during recovery from surgery, or a movable solution for a hire company or venue with changing requirements.

Echo Go vs Echo 50 — Portable vs Permanent

Elevate also produces the Echo 50, a self-contained step lift intended for permanent installation at a fixed entrance. The Echo Go is the portable counterpart — designed to be moved, stored, and redeployed rather than fixed at one location. If you need a permanent solution at a single entrance, ask your installer about the Echo 50 instead.

HowtheElevateGlideWorks

The platform folds flat against the wall or stair when not in use — 300mm clearance on leg mount, 245mm on wall mount

  1. The user unfolds the platform and boards with their wheelchair or mobility aid

  2. The arm and safety barrier are lowered into position

  3. The user operates the controls and the platform travels along the rail via the rack and pinion drive

  4. The anti-jamming safety switch and brake system continuously monitor the journey

  5. The platform arrives at the top or bottom landing and the user exits

HowtheEchoGoWorks

The unit is wheeled into position on its large castors and plugged into a nearby wall socket to charge

  1. The external platform height is adjusted to align with the landing it sits against

  2. The user boards the platform with their wheelchair or mobility aid via the easy entry ramp

  3. The scissor mechanism raises the platform smoothly and quietly to the upper level

  4. The user exits at the top, and the platform lowers back down once no longer needed

  5. When access is no longer required at that location, the unit folds away for storage or is wheeled to its next position
