Is the Echo 50 suitable for outdoor installation?
Yes. The Echo 50 is built to be durable for outdoor use as well as suitable for internal installation.
What is the difference between bridging steps and upper gate protection?
Bridging steps allow the upper landing area to be used as normal steps when the lift is at rest, which suits a shared or frequently used space. Upper gate protection instead fits a protective gate over the opening at the upper level, often specified where the area does not need to double as a walkable staircase.
Can the Echo 50 be moved to a different location later?
Yes. As a self-contained unit, the Echo 50 can be re-sited to a different location if your access needs change in the future.
How long does installation take?
The Echo 50 is typically installed within a single day as a self-contained unit.
What certification does the Echo 50 hold?
The Echo 50 complies with BS EN 81-40 and BS EN 12100, and is CE marked. Building control approval is obtained for every installation.
What is the difference between the Echo 50 and an incline platform lift?
The Echo 50 is a scissor-drive step lift suited to a small number of steps. An incline platform lift, such as the Liftak Platform Stairlift, travels along a rail fitted to a full staircase and is designed for longer flights of stairs rather than a short level change.
